1. intro
This howto will highlight following issues regarding the SMA homestorage in combination with either the monophase SBSE and/or the STP-SE inverter(s).

the battery module with the highest serial number will become the master of the battery cluster.

if installing a brand new battery module on an existing old cluster, the master will try to push his old version to the old battery modules.

therefore, allways install first the new module, separartely and as the only one, even on a STP-SE.

on the SBSE you will need to upload the latest firmware file.

on the STP-SE everything will be done automaticaly, so be patient, this process can can take 20 minutes.
-
once double checked the firmware version, you add back the old battery modules back into the battery cluster.
